As\u00a0promised\u00a0earlier,\u00a0Insta360\u00a0<\/strong>has released\u00a0the Ace Pro<\/strong>\u00a0action camera\u00a0, which was developed jointly with Leica and is equipped with a 1\/1.3-inch matrix capable of shooting video up to 8K 24 fps and 4K 120 fps, as well as photos 48 MP.\u00a0A special feature of the camera is a 2.4-inch flip-up touch screen.\u00a0It can be submerged in water to a depth of 10 m. There are many functions on board using artificial intelligence.\u00a0The camera is available in two versions \u2013 the simplified Ace for $380 and the upgraded Ace Pro for $450.<\/p>\n

      Ace Pro works with H.265 and H.264 codecs, but only in 8-bit format.\u00a0There is no log entry, but it is possible to use a \u201cflat\u201d profile.\u00a0The maximum bitrate is 170 Mbit\/s.<\/p>\n

      The manufacturer calls a special feature of the Ace Pro a special low-light shooting mode, PureVideo, which uses AI to reduce noise.\u00a0There is a function for expanding the dynamic range Active HDR.\u00a0It is claimed that even under water the colors will be bright.<\/p>\n

      Bloggers will undoubtedly appreciate the 2.4-inch flip-out touchscreen, which should have been included in devices like this from the very beginning.\u00a0Anyone who has shot \u201cblindly\u201d with action cameras will understand, but you can only envy newcomers – they will immediately shoot their blogs comfortably.\u00a0There is a magnetic mount for attaching the camera and accessories.\u00a0Also, in theory, gesture control will be convenient for bloggers;\u00a0Personally, this option never seemed to work for me, no matter how many different devices I tested that support this function.\u00a0Still, it\u2019s much more convenient to press a button with your finger than to wave your hands at the camera in any way, even a camera with such smart AI.<\/p>\n

      For beginners and those who don\u2019t like to bother with editing footage, the AI \u200b\u200bHighlights Assistant function will be useful, which will automatically edit the video and send it to your smartphone.\u00a0It\u2019s good that it\u2019s at least on a smartphone, and not immediately on a social network, otherwise you never know what might end up there inadvertently in the video sequence.\u00a0There is integration of some functions for owners of Apple smartwatches.\u00a0Users will also enjoy a large number of other automatic functions, such as time lapses, panoramas, hyperlapses, an invisible selfie stick and others.<\/p>\n

      What is very important for an action camera is image stabilization.\u00a0FlowState Insta360 technology and 360\u00b0 Horizon Lock function work here, which will help level the horizon in dynamic shots.\u00a0To dive into water up to 10 m, a case is not needed, but this very case is available, with it you can dive up to 60 m. Speaking of frosts, it\u2019s better not to go to Siberia with a camera in winter, but they promise to work at temperatures down to -20 \u00b0 C.<\/p>\n

      The camera charges up to 80% in just 22 minutes; a full charge will take 46 minutes.\u00a0The maximum operating time is stated to be 100 minutes in laboratory conditions – when the birds outside the window are singing warmly, lightly and cheerfully.\u00a0I wonder how long the camera will withstand at -20\u00b0C.<\/p>\n

      What is the difference between the simplified Ace model<\/h2>\n

      Insta360 offers a simpler and more affordable option called Ace.\u00a0The difference is in the matrix – the Ace camera has a 1\/2-inch sensor with a resolution of 48 megapixels, and video resolution is limited to 6K.\u00a0There is no Leica inscription on the lens.\u00a0Otherwise, everything is almost the same, with the exception of the appearance of the case.<\/p>\n

      What about the prices?<\/h2>\n

      The Insta360 Ace is priced at $380, and the Insta360 Ace Pro is priced at $450.\u00a0For comparison, the GoPro HERO 12 Black costs $349.<\/p>\n
