It feels like a half-hearted experiment made up of recycled ideas and forgotten script bits \u2013 a forced addition rather than a thoughtful adventure. The world map is being redrawn, bases are burning, and even the Citadel of Democracy is on the verge of collapse. In the midst of this chaos, the Dagger Squad is sent on a \u201chigh-risk mission\u201d to save what\u2019s left of the world order.<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_474671\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-474671\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-474671\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stereoreviewer.com\/tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/pasted-81-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"One mission even follows the adventures of an Egyptian in a tank, who isn't even a member of the Dagger squad. Instead we get a random gang of five, so generic that you forget their names before the next cutscene. No leader type, no one who jokes, no one who dares to do anything unexpected. EA is desperately trying to give us its own \u201cGhost\u201d from Call of Duty, but ends up with a pale copy called Hemlock \u2013 without charm, without depth.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span dir=\"auto\" style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">An action without a pulse<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span dir=\"auto\" style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">One of the missions involves an Egyptian tank driver who isn\u2019t even part of the squad. It feels like a script where the developers first decided to have \u201ca tank level\u201d and then found a random way to force it in. The dialogue is equally embarrassing: the lines lack rhythm and feel like excerpts from different script drafts. One character says something serious, the other responds with foolish bravado. Still, you have to give the writers some credit for their confidence \u2013 they actually include a cliffhanger for the \u201cnext chapter.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span dir=\"auto\" style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">An explosive start \u2013 and a sudden fall<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span dir=\"auto\" style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The campaign opens with a bang. Pax Armata attacks a mountain base, everything explodes, soldiers run, gunfire rings out \u2013 it\u2019s adrenaline-fueled and cinematic. In the first ten minutes, you get more action than in three Call of Duty games combined. But it\u2019s all undermined by idiotic AI. Enemies run straight into bullets, ignore grenades and lack any tactical understanding. Your teammates are no better \u2013 they won\u2019t save you unless you explicitly press a button. You can lie bleeding in front of them as they stare blankly into the horizon.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span dir=\"auto\" style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">When all hope is gone<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span dir=\"auto\" style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">In the end, it\u2019s clear: the campaign isn\u2019t built to engage, but to tick a box on a checklist. It reminds you of how good Battlefield: Bad Company and Battlefield 1 actually were \u2013 and how far the series has fallen.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span dir=\"auto\" style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The verdict<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span dir=\"auto\" style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">If you\u2019re considering trying out the campaign, do yourself a favor: don\u2019t install it. You\u2019ll be better off watching paint dry or listening to the silence of an empty lobby.
