Canor Verto D3 & Asterion V3: Tube DAC and Phono Stage for Audiophiles

Canor Verto D3 & Asterion V3: Tube DAC and Phono Stage for Audiophiles

Canor unveils the Verto D3 tube DAC with dual ESS ES9039Q2M chips and the Asterion V3 tube phono stage for MM and MC cartridges. Discover specifications, features, pricing, and launch details.

Canor Audio is expanding its Performance Line with two new tube-powered components aimed squarely at serious audiophiles. The new Verto D3 DAC and Asterion V3 phono stage replace the long-running DAC 2.10 and PH 2.10, bringing a fresh design, upgraded technology, and even greater flexibility to the company's high-end lineup.

While the Verto D3 focuses on extracting every last detail from digital music, the Asterion V3 is designed to get the best from both MM and MC cartridges. Both units blend Canor's expertise in tube circuitry with modern functionality, premium build quality, and the elegant styling the Slovak manufacturer has become known for.

Audiophiles won't have to wait too long to hear them. The Verto D3 and Asterion V3 are scheduled to arrive in September or October 2026, with their official public debut set for this year's High End Vienna exhibition.

Canor Verto D3: Tube DAC with dual-mono architecture

The Canor Verto D3 is a discretely constructed tube DA converter with a fully symmetrical dual-mono architecture. At its heart are two ESS Sabre ES9039Q2M DAC chips, one per channel. The analog output stage is built with four E88CC tubes in a pure Class A circuit and combines modern digital signal processing with the musical qualities of classic tube technology.

The Verto D3 supports PCM up to 24 bit / 768 kHz and Native DSD up to DSD512. Galvanically isolated digital inputs, including USB-B, AES/EBU, coaxial, and optical inputs, ensure flexible connectivity options in high-quality hi-fi systems. Thanks to fixed and variable analog outputs via RCA and XLR, the Verto D3 can be used both as a classic DA converter and directly for a power amplifier.

Canor Asterion V3: phono amplifier for MM and MC cartridges

The Canor Asterion V3 is a tube-circuit phono amplifier suitable for both MM and MC cartridges. It supports unbalanced MM and MC connections as well as balanced MC connections, thereby offering a high degree of flexibility for a wide range of cartridges and turntable configurations.

The amplifier circuit uses ECC83S and ECC81 tubes. A Lundahl step-up transformer is used for MC inputs. The analog stages are designed without global negative feedback. RIAA correction is performed passively using high-quality polystyrene and polypropylene capacitors. Important settings such as MM/MC selection, impedance, and capacitance can be conveniently adjusted via the remote control.
